Redmans Solicitors LLP

Elysian were asked by Redmans Solicitors LLP, London, for comment on how to manage employee stress.

Snippet:

Kate Gathard, founder and director of Elysian Services Ltd, opines that keeping employee well-being under review is crucial to helping with its management. For this, regular communication is essential, whether this is in team meetings, weekly catch-ups, and/or informal chats. “If [employees] are at a point where burnout is visible, as an employer, you have left it too late,” she says.

She further adds that managers should be aware of signs. This could be in the way of undertaking separate training to help employees with managing stress in the workplace. This training should focus more on recognising potential signs of stress at work, tactfully raising their concerns with employees, and identifying and signposting useful services.

Jenny Ferguson at Women in the Zone

We joined Jenny for an unfiltered chat about starting a business, being a female-owned business & some fun stuff chucked in too

Corporate Peaks, France

We was asked by the CEO of Corporate Peaks to present and workshop at their team day. We said yes then a week later flew into Geneva. We spent time in 121’s with the team & held an interactive workshop on prioritisation and how to ensure you are working at your optimum level.

As part of Corporate Peaks Group ‘s training workshops, I was lucky enough to meet and work with Kate Gathard, HR Wing Woman and businesswoman.

I was looking forward to hearing more about her business and how she became an ‘HR wing woman’, her own boss and began running her business.  🙋‍♀️

Kate’s workshop began with her sharing her work/life story – and the triggers that ultimately led to her starting and growing her own business. 🧚‍♀️

Kate’s approach to her business is much like her approach to HR. She describes herself and the business as unconventional and straight-talking. There’s no beating around the bush with Kate, she’s unapologetically herself, and this honesty is something that every business needs.

Kate’s talk wasn’t just a presentation, it was interactive. We discussed overcoming imposter syndrome, how organisation and effectiveness is the key to success, tackling burn-out and goal setting.

Thank you Kate for sharing your story with us and helping me shake up my day-to-day, for the better! 💜

The Lewis Foundation Gala

Our founder Kate was invited to be a guest speaker at The Lewis Foundation Gala – November 2023.

Sadly cancer is in Kate’s family so she was asked to speak from a family member’s perspective on the effect it has had and also why the Lewis Foundation is pivotal in supporting those through treatment. For more information on the foundation: https://www.thelewisfoundation.co.uk/
